Therapeutic Approach

My approach is holistic, non-pathologizing, client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I focus on the whole person-- considering all aspects of clients' lives (physical, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual). Rather than focusing solely on specific symptoms or diagnoses, I work with clients to examine the effects of all of these factors on mental health and well-being.

My work draws from Narrative therapy, Polyvagal theory, Attachment theory, Family Systems, and a biopsychosocial model of care, grounded in a feminist social justice approach.

I'm influenced by the work of Gabor Maté, Prentis Hemphill, Peter Levine, Brené Brown, Deb Dana, Diane Poole Heller, and others.

What to expect from our sessions

I love to see clients recognize their ability to rewrite painful emotional blueprints and emerge from difficult experiences grounded in their strength. Together, we'll collaborate to identify and navigate obstacles within a safe emotional space that supports healing and growth.

Therapy is your place to show up as you are, and I offer authentically compassionate and accepting therapy so you can feel free to be yourself. My clients attend virtual therapy from their preferred location- whether that’s the comfort of home, a walk in the park, or over lunch break at work. Therapy is your time, and there is never a need to show up perfectly.

I'm a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. These designations allow me to work with clients from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut.
