Therapeutic Approach

I use a holistic, compassion-focused approach that is naturally grounded in my values as a feminist and a social justice advocate. My therapy practice takes a non-pathologizing, whole-person approach that is innately client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based.

My work draws from Narrative therapy, Polyvagal theory, Attachment theory, Somatic Healing therapies, elements of Lifespan Integration approach, and a biopsychosocial model of care.

I'm influenced by the work of Gabor Maté, Peter Levine, Brené Brown, Deb Dana, Diane Poole Heller, Besser van der Kolk, and others.

What to expect from our sessions

I love to see clients recognize their innate ability to rewrite painful emotional blueprints, and emerge from difficult experiences powerfully centered in their strength. Together, we collaborate to identify and navigate obstacles, within a safe emotional energy that supports healing and growth.

Therapy is your place to show up as you are, and I offer an authentically compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you can feel free to be yourself. My clients attend virtual therapy from wherever they feel most comfortable- whether that's the couch, their car, a walk in the park, or in their PJs and slippers. Therapy is your time, and there is never a need to show up "perfectly".

I'm a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
